Product Description:
The CP7702-0021-0030 is a panel PC produced by Beckhoff in the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an industrial touchscreen, embedded processor, and integrated I/O so it can run control software and present HMI graphics directly on the machine. In an automation cell it serves as the local computing node that executes real-time tasks, records process data, and provides an operator interface without a separate controller cabinet.
Power is supplied at 24 VDC, and the circuitry remains functional down to the specified minimum of 22 V. The 4-pin M12 power connector is rated for currents up to 16 A, while field wiring can use conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² for low-loss delivery. Internally, removable DDR4-RAM modules provide volatile memory, and application data is stored on a CFast card that tolerates industrial vibration. Two front flanges include 4 × M6 × 18 mm threaded holes so the panel fastens directly to swing arms or enclosures. For serial peripherals, one RS-232 port is provided; network links use shielded Ethernet cables that may be routed as far as 100 m, and the aluminum housing carries an IP65 rating at the front, protecting the electronics against dust ingress and water jets during wash-down.
For buffered system time and BIOS functions, the panel carries a CR2032 lithium cell, while an auxiliary battery rated at 225 mAh safeguards real-time clock data when the main supply is off. Communication to fieldbus gateways or vision stations is simplified by 2 independent Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, and legacy devices can still connect through the earlier mentioned RS-232 port. The electronics are qualified to endure vibrations and impacts up to 5 G, preventing spontaneous restarts on mobile platforms or near stamping presses. These characteristics allow the CP7702 unit to function reliably on the machine frame without a protective cabinet.
