Intended for mounting on the front of electrical enclosures or support arms, it combines an industrial touchscreen, an embedded x86 computer, and field connectivity in a sealed assembly. The unit runs visualization, data logging, or soft-PLC tasks directly at the machine, so drive controllers and I/O can be served locally without routing signals to a remote control room.
Electrical integration uses a Push-Pull RJ45 jack that locks in place to resist vibration; with Cat-6 cabling, the link can span up to 100 m between network switches. The computer draws from a regulated 24 VDC supply, and Beckhoff specifies a feeder cross-section of 1.5 mm² to limit voltage drop, while the protective earth path must be 4 mm² to clear fault current quickly.
