Product Description:
The CP7232-0002-0020 is an industrial Panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for machine-level installation, it integrates a compact motherboard, processing electronics, and a glass touch display into a sealed housing. In an automation cell, it serves as both a runtime controller and an operator interface, allowing PLC tasks, data logging, and on-screen visualization to run directly at the equipment without a separate industrial computer. This integrated arrangement also reduces the number of individual devices that must be installed around the machine.
It connects to plant networks through one RJ45 Ethernet port, and cable runs can extend up to 100 m to reach control cabinets or switches. System logic and visualization files reside in high-speed DDR4 RAM, which provides adequate bandwidth for modern TwinCAT projects. The electronics are powered from a 24-volt utility bus with an operating range of 22–30 VDC, allowing the unit to share power supplies with standard control components. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from 0 to +45 °C. The aluminum chassis has an IP65-rated front, which prevents dust and low-pressure water jets from reaching the electronics during washdowns. These features support installation near production equipment where exposure to airborne debris or occasional water spray may occur.
Mechanical stresses encountered on moving arms are addressed by shock resistance of 5 G for 30 ms and vibration resistance of 10–58 Hz at 0.035 mm and 58–500 Hz at 0.5 G. During storage or transportation, the device tolerates temperatures from -20 to +65 °C, protecting the display and internal boards in unconditioned warehouses. One internal bay accepts one 2.5-inch HDD or SSD, providing flexibility to select suitable storage media for the application. The panel mounts on a swiveling arm and uses a 3.5-inch motherboard to minimize installation depth. A responsive touch screen provides direct access to machine commands, process data, and visualization screens. The Ethernet connection maintains network communication across the long cable runs commonly used in distributed control stations.
