The CP7232-0001-0010 panel PC is produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. As an integrated HMI and control node, it mounts on machine enclosures and combines visualization, data logging, and PLC runtime tasks in one touchscreen station. The unit couples a multi-core processor with compact I/O to support deterministic EtherCAT or conventional bus networks, reducing the need for separate PC and display assemblies. This layout helps keep wiring paths short and gives operators a centralized point for status viewing and machine interaction.
The front housing has an IP65 rating, sealing the display and control electronics against dust and low-pressure water jets when the panel is mounted on a machine door. Internally, the board set runs from a nominal 24 VDC supply that is common on plant control buses, so no separate AC transformer is required. System memory uses high-speed DDR4-RAM, supporting modern Windows or TwinCAT operating systems. Network traffic is handled through a single RJ45 Push-Pull port, and with Cat 6 cabling the link can span up to 100 m between the panel and the switch. A 3.5-inch motherboard format limits depth, while a 4 mm² minimum ground wire supports protective bonding.
The aluminum housing withstands shock loads of 5 G lasting 30 ms, which helps protect the internal drive bay during abrupt machine movement. During installation, the tubular mounting arm may be tightened to 3 Nm, helping the cable gland orientation remain fixed under vibration. Continuous operation is allowed in humid work areas up to 95% non-condensing moisture. Security is supported by an active fTPM 2.0 secure element, and a 12-pin power connector simplifies daisy-chain wiring to upstream supplies. The storage bay accepts one 2.5-inch drive, which keeps local software and retained data in the same enclosure as the display.
