The CP7232-0001-0000 is a fanless panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff and released within the CP Panel PC Systems series. By combining an industrial touchscreen with an integrated motherboard, it functions as both the machine-level HMI and the deterministic controller for EtherCAT-based cells. Because the display and computing hardware share one housing, operator input and control tasks can be handled directly at the machine instead of from a separate cabinet-mounted computer. This arrangement reduces cabinet wiring and shortens startup time in automated lines.
An enclosure with a protection rating of IP65 allows the computer to be mounted directly on production equipment without a separate housing. The Ethernet interface uses a RJ45 push-pull connector, and the real-time fieldbus supports an EtherCAT cycle time of ≤ 1 ms so motion axes can remain synchronized in tight control loops. The motherboard uses the 3.5-inch form factor and is fitted with DDR4 RAM for higher-bandwidth memory access. Program and data storage reside in a 2.5-inch drive bay, which provides local space for the operating system and application files. The nominal supply voltage is 24 VDC, introduced through a 12-pin round connector that also carries ground and ignition contacts for distributed power architectures.
The built-in security module, fTPM 2.0, helps verify boot code, and mechanical endurance is supported by shock resistance of 5 G, 30 ms so the panel can remain operational on presses or gantry systems. Emissions comply with EN 61000-6-4, and immunity meets EN 61000-6-2, which supports installation near high-power inverters without additional filters. Network cabling can be extended up to 100 m, which helps when remote I/O islands are placed across larger machine layouts. Operation is permitted at up to 95% relative humidity with no condensation, supporting use in humid indoor washdown areas.
