Product Description:
The CP7202-0020-0050 is an industrial panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines visualization, control, and communication functions in a single unit so one device can be mounted instead of separate HMIs and controllers. In an automation cell, the panel PC runs TwinCAT or other PC-based control software and exchanges process data with drives, I/O terminals, or higher-level MES platforms through its integrated interfaces.
A single Ethernet port implemented as 1 x RJ45 provides the primary field or plant-network connection and supports real-time protocols used by Beckhoff controllers. The incoming 24-volt rail enters on a 12-pin round connector that also routes digital signaling, and the nominal input for the electronics side is 24 V, matching common control cabinet supplies. Front and housing seals achieve a IP65 protection rating, enabling washdown installation on packaging or food equipment without a cabinet door. For hardware-rooted cybersecurity, the motherboard carries a fTPM 2.0 secure element that stores encryption keys for drive or recipe protection. A CR2032, 3.0 V, 225 mAh lithium battery maintains BIOS and Real-Time Clock parameters when the main supply is disconnected. The power pinout assigns terminal 5 to 0 V and terminal 6 to 24 V so polarity can be checked during installation.
The panel attaches to a support tube through a Mounting Arm, allowing rotation and height adjustment beside a conveyor or robot cell. Mechanical resilience is verified by a shock load of 5 G, 30 ms, preventing data loss or reboot during sporadic impacts on the production floor. Electronics remain intact through warehouse or transport conditions between -20°C to +65°C, exceeding the typical ambient range seen in shipping containers. During operation, the unit accepts a stabilized control-voltage window of 22–30 VDC, preventing brownouts when long cable runs or start-up inrush cause brief dips below the nominal level.
