The CP7031-0002-0000 is an operator panel computer manufactured by Beckhoff and positioned in the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as the human-machine interface in distributed automation architectures, presenting process data and accepting commands while communication and power are routed through a CP-Link connection to a separate control cabinet PC. By combining a sealed front panel with a slim rear section, the unit installs directly on machines or enclosures where space is limited and frequent washdowns may occur. Because the processing hardware is located in a separate cabinet PC, the panel can remain compact at the point of operation while still giving the user direct access to display and control functions.
The aluminum housing measures 426 mm in width, 370.2 mm in height, and 27.5 mm in depth, allowing flush or arm mounting without extending far beyond typical guard dimensions. A front rating of IP65 protects the display, pushbuttons, and USB cover against dust and low-pressure water jets, while the TFT screen provides a clear operator window with a diagonal of 12 in. Two BNC sockets carry the CP-Link channel, and the panel uses two dedicated CP-Link cables to complete that connection to the host system. The chassis also uses four threaded mounting inserts so it can be fastened from the rear plate into welded brackets or a VESA arm.
The connector areas are sealed to IP54, supporting installation where the rear connection zone needs basic protection from dust and splashing water. A maximum CP-Link cable span of 100 m allows the panel to be mounted remotely from the host IPC across larger machines without placing the control computer at the operator position. During vibration exposure, the panel withstands 0.5 G between 58 and 500 Hz, and its shock resistance reaches 5 G for 30 ms. Reliable operation is maintained up to 95% relative humidity without condensation, and the aluminum frame remains stable when secured through the four mounting points.
