Product Description:
The CP7030-1003 is a front-mounted operator panel manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Installed on the machine front, it provides a touchscreen display for visualization, parameter entry, and local operating functions in automated lines. When connected to an industrial PC, the unit serves as the operator interface while supporting data exchange with PLCs and higher-level networks. Its slim aluminum housing is intended for cabinet mounting where space and protection requirements are strict in food, packaging, and material-handling cells.
At the front, the control panel achieves an ingress protection rating of IP65, sealing the glass and bezel against dust and low-pressure water jets. The electronics are arranged inside a chassis that measures only 27.5 mm in depth, so the device can be fitted on shallow doors without excessive intrusion into the cabinet. A 10 in TFT display provides the native viewing area for process graphics and alarms. System communication and power are routed through the proprietary CP-Link single-cable interface, which supports distances up to 100 m between the panel and the industrial PC mounted elsewhere in the control enclosure.
In demanding shop-floor climates, the aluminum front and the rear plug connections are sealed on the connector side, and the assembly withstands relative humidity up to 95% without condensation. Reliable operation is specified from 0 °C to 55 °C, covering typical plant temperatures. Mechanical resilience includes resistance to impacts of 5 G for 30 ms and to sinusoidal vibration of 0.035 mm between 10–58 Hz and 0.5 G between 58–500 Hz, so the panel can tolerate mobile frames or press brakes. Physical dimensions of 403.2 mm in width and 368.2 mm in height permit retrofits on existing machine cutouts, while the aluminum housing helps dissipate heat without fans.
