Product Description:
The CP7022-1020 is a fanless front panel computer produced by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. It functions as a remote workstation for visualization and control tasks in manufacturing cells, processing lines, and machine tools. The unit combines a display, numeric input, and communication hardware in a sealed head so that equipment builders can move the processing electronics into a cabinet while keeping the operator interface on the machine front. This separation reduces panel depth and simplifies maintenance.
Beneath the laminated front glass is a 15 in active-matrix screen that renders graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels, giving SCADA widgets and alarm banners a consistent size across installations. An integrated numeric keyboard allows direct setpoint entry without an external keypad. The aluminum housing measures 28.5 mm in depth, 515 mm in width, and 370.2 mm in height, so it fits shallow enclosures on swing arms. Two coaxial cables carry video, USB, and power over the Beckhoff CP-Link interface to the host controller. Both cables terminate at the rear on two BNC sockets, keeping the connector family uniform along the entire link and minimizing signal reflections.
The panel can be mounted up to 100 m from the PC without repeaters because the CP-Link transmission budget supports that cable length. The front sheet and gasket achieve an IP65 rating, blocking dust and water jets in washdown areas. Operation is specified from 0 to 55 °C, which covers most cabinet-free machine fronts; within that range, the electronics withstand production-floor vibration to 0.5 G between 58 and 500 Hz and survive shocks of 5 G for 30 ms during transport or accidental impacts. By eliminating forced cooling, the metal chassis and coaxial feed reduce points of failure while keeping electromagnetic emissions low.
