The CP7002-1014 is an operator-panel computer built by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. As an integrated touchscreen workstation, it mounts on a machine door or cabinet front and supplies the HMI layer for PLC and motion tasks handled elsewhere in the control architecture. Its function is to present process data, accept user commands, and transmit them to the central controller over a single fiber-optic link, allowing the visualization section to be separated from the drive and I/O hardware in harsh industrial zones without relocating the operator interface.
The front surface carries a 15 in diagonal TFT panel that delivers color graphics, while the aluminum housing keeps the overall depth at 28.5 mm, width at 426 mm, and height at 395 mm so it can fit into confined door recesses. An IP65 front seal protects the electronics against dust and low-pressure water jets; the rear plug is rated IP54, so cabinet interior cleanliness is still required. The panel is fixed through four mounting holes tapped for M6 screws, and the corresponding cutout must be 399.8 mm wide by 367.4 mm high to guarantee gasket compression. Operation is permitted up to 95% non-condensing humidity, which helps prevent moisture buildup during wash-down cycles.
The panel’s noise performance aligns with EN 61000-6-4 emission limits and withstands industrial immunity demands per EN 61000-6-2, so it can share enclosures with inverters and contactors without display flicker or data loss. A fiber-optic CP-Link interface transports video, USB, and keyboard signals over distances up to 100 m, permitting the host IPC to remain in a clean, thermally stabilized control room.
