The CP7002-1006-0000 is a panel-mount human-machine interface produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It links to a remote industrial PC over the company’s CP-Link bus, allowing the display and operating elements to be installed on the machine front while the computing hardware stays inside the control cabinet. This separation lets the unit serve as an operator terminal in automation lines where local visualization and sealed ingress protection are required.
The front side carries a protection rating of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the circuitry during wash-down or airborne-particle operations. Users view process data on a 15 in TFT panel that supports color graphics and adjustable backlighting for control-room or shop-floor lighting conditions. Communication is handled through two 2 x BNC sockets that carry video, touch signals, and 24 VDC supply on a single CP-Link channel; the passive panel can be installed as far as 100 m from the host PC without repeaters. Two CP-Link cables are required to meet the power-and-signal redundancy specified by Beckhoff, and the panel’s aluminum housing provides electromagnetic shielding while keeping weight low.
Connector sealing is rated at IP54, giving the rear connections a slightly lower but still splash-proof barrier once the mating plugs are fitted. The enclosure depth is only 28.5 mm, so the unit fits shallow cabinets, while the bezel spans 426 mm in width and 395 mm in height to match standard machine cutouts. Four mounting holes are tapped with an M6 thread, simplifying direct fastening to door plates without additional brackets. A CP-Link powered design eliminates a separate mains inlet, and the housing’s aluminum construction aids heat dissipation, maintaining panel temperature within specification during continuous duty.
