Product Description:
The CP7002-1004 operator panel is a fanless Panel PC distributed by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an industrial display with a remote PC interface so that machine control data can be presented on the plant floor without housing the computer in the same enclosure. Through the CP-Link transmission system, video, USB, and power are routed over a single cable, allowing the panel to serve as a decentralized human-machine interface in automated lines. Because the computer can remain elsewhere, the display point can be placed near the machine while the processing hardware stays in a more protected location. The single-cable approach also simplifies placement where long cable runs would otherwise require separate power and signal paths.
The front of the panel contains a 15 in diagonal screen built on TFT technology, providing color visualization with wide viewing angles. The color display is suited to status screens, alarms, and process visualization during normal machine operation. Its aluminum faceplate carries an IP65 rating, so dust ingress and low-pressure water jets do not affect normal service, while the rear connectors are limited to IP54, which suits typical cabinet interiors. Two BNC sockets act as backplane connectors for the CP-Link channel, and that same link also supplies 24 VDC power, eliminating a separate mains feed. This arrangement reduces cable clutter around the mounting area and supports cleaner routing between the panel and the remote computer. Signal integrity is maintained up to 100 m, and relative humidity may rise to 95% without internal condensation.
The housing measures 426 mm in width and 395 mm in height, yet its profile stays slim at just 28.5 mm deep, so the panel intrudes minimally into the cabinet. The low-profile form is useful on cabinet doors and swing arms where projection behind the mounting surface must be kept small. This shallow enclosure also leaves more clearance for door-mounted wiring and nearby components inside the enclosure. Shock tolerance is specified at 5 G for 30 ms, which helps protect the electronics from transport knocks and routine machine vibration. Four integrated mounting holes with M6 threads accept standard bolts for secure attachment to a control door or swing arm.
