Product Description:
The CP7002-0000 is a front-mounted panel from Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Intended for installation on machine enclosures, the unit presents process data to operators and links to a host industrial PC through the CP-Link interface. By combining a protected housing with an integrated display, it serves as the human-machine interface in automated production lines, allowing monitoring and command entry at the point of operation while critical computing hardware remains in a protected cabinet, reducing thermal load on the machine front.
The front plate measures 426 mm in width and 395 mm in height, yet its depth is only 28.5 mm, so it fits flush into control consoles with minimal intrusion. Operators view status information on a 15 in diagonal screen that delivers a native 1024 × 768 pixel matrix. The panel uses TFT technology to provide clear color graphics, but it is supplied without a keypad and without a touchscreen, making it suitable for systems where input devices are located elsewhere. All connectors on the rear carry IP54 ingress protection, shielding signal lines against dust and sprayed water while the face complies with the higher enclosure rating noted later.
The housing meets IP65 protection, so the front surface can be washed down during maintenance. The frame is milled from aluminum, giving mechanical strength and heat conduction for the display electronics. Video and power are transmitted through the CP-Link interface, and the same link supplies the unit electrically, eliminating additional field wiring. Distance between the panel and the host PC can reach 100 m, which simplifies the layout of large production cells. Two image signals are accepted through the rear 2 × BNC jacks, and attachment to the machine wall is handled by four 4 × M6 × 18 mm mounting holes that align with standard support plates.
