The CP7001-1007 is a panel-mount industrial computer produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This front-end PC combines processing, visualization, and operator input in a single bezel so it can serve as the local human-machine interface for automated machines and production cells. By hosting control software at the point of use, the unit reduces cabinet wiring and supports real-time visualization, recipe management, and diagnostic functions inside production lines. Its integrated format also keeps the display and computing section in one mounting location, which helps simplify machine layouts.
During operation, the front face achieves a protection class of IP65, guarding the electronics against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, while the rear service port uses a BNC connector with an IP54 seal. Visual feedback is supplied by a 12 in TFT panel that sits only 27.5 mm behind the mounting plane, helping keep enclosure depth low. All signals and the 24 V power feed are transported through the CP-Link interface, using two coaxial cables to carry data and power to the device. Cabinet preparation requires a rectangular opening with a width of 327.6 mm and a height of 303.7 mm. The housing is formed from Aluminum, which helps dissipate internal heat without forced-air cooling.
For mechanical integration, the visible front panel measures 353.8 mm in width and 326.3 mm in height, providing an overlap that masks the cutout and compresses the foam seal. Four threaded inserts accept M6 fasteners from the rear, securing the unit against vibration once the gasket is tightened. CP-Link cabling may run up to 100 m between the panel and the host controller, allowing installation at remote operator stations or on movable arms without extra power supplies. This layout allows the operator panel to remain close to the machine while the host controller stays in a separate location.
