Product Description:
Beckhoff manufactures the CP6931-1001-0010 industrial panel PC as part of its CP Panel PC Systems series. This fanless computer integrates an Intel-class CPU, solid-state storage, and a capacitive touch screen into a compact aluminum housing intended for cabinet door installation. Within automated lines, the device serves as the central controller that runs TwinCAT software for real-time motion, process data acquisition, and operator interaction, eliminating the need for separate PLC, IPC, and HMI hardware. Its integrated format keeps computing, visualization, and touch input in one enclosure, which helps reduce cable routing between the control cabinet and the machine interface.
The front face carries a protection rating of IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the display or touch sensors during washdown. Internal electronics are powered from a single 24 VDC supply, and the keyed power plug is dimensioned for up to 16 A, allowing stable boot currents for SSDs and fieldbus transceivers. Safe operation is specified between 0 °C and 55 °C, giving the unit an acceptable deployment envelope in control rooms that are not actively cooled. These limits help determine panel ventilation and placement when the PC is mounted near heat-producing equipment.
Rear terminals remain accessible inside the cabinet and carry an IP20 rating, reflecting their protected but non-sealed environment. The CP-Link 4 interface supports remote displays over CAT6 cabling up to 100 m, which simplifies machine layouts when the operator panel must be placed at a distance from the control cabinet. For operating durability, the device endures up to 95% non-condensing humidity and absorbs shocks up to 5 G, supporting reliable service in production cells with cyclic vibration or occasional handling impacts. Auxiliary features include two USB 2.0 Type A sockets, acceptance of 1.5 mm² power wiring, and a minimum plug-in voltage threshold of 22 V to account for line drops.
