Product Description:
The CP6921-1004-0000 is a panel-mounted PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an industrial computer with an integrated operator display so that machine visualization and control can be handled in a single enclosure on the factory floor. Used as the front end for TwinCAT or other automation software, it delivers local processing power while keeping cabling to standard fieldbus, USB, or DVI lines.
The visualization surface is a TFT screen protected at the front by an IP65 bezel, allowing washdown use in dusty environments without damaging the display electronics. Internally, the logic section runs from a nominal 24 VDC supply that enters through a five-pin connector rated for 16 A. The housing withstands mechanical shocks up to 5 G, helping reduce the risk of data loss during incidental impact on packaging or conveying machines. USB data can travel at 480 Mbit/s through the integrated hub, and two USB outputs on the rear panel are available for keyboard, scanner, or memory stick attachment. Each USB line may be extended to 50 m with Beckhoff repeater modules, while a separate DVI channel supports remote monitors over the same distance. A rear ingress rating of IP20 applies once the device is installed in a sealed cabinet.
Field wiring uses conductors up to 1.5 mm² for power and signaling, and the protective earth must be at least 4 mm² to satisfy leakage current requirements. Operation is permitted in ambient humidity up to 95% without condensation, a range suited to food processing or humidifying lines. The PC complies with the USB 2.0 standard, and upstream USB cables are limited to 5 m, so distance-bridging repeaters are required when controllers are mounted farther away. Shock-rated stud mounts, a 5-pin power plug, and DVI-I video wiring complete the installation envelope for this panel system.
