Product Description:
The CP6906-1400-0000 is a compact panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed as an operator interface and embedded controller, it combines a touchscreen display with integrated processing hardware so that automation tasks, visualization, and machine diagnostics can be handled from one enclosure. In production lines, packaging cells, or building-management stations, the unit provides a single point for executing control code and monitoring field devices over Ethernet or fieldbus networks.
The processing section supports a maximum encoder capture rate of 50 kHz, allowing rapid response to high-speed digital feedback. For remote visualization, its DVI-I port maintains full resolution across cable runs up to 50 m, which is useful when the display must be mounted outside harsh zones. The aluminum front panel carries an ingress rating of IP65, sealing the touchscreen against dust and low-pressure water jets, while an internal power rail accepts a nominal supply of 24 VDC. A five-pin plug rated at 16 A distributes this power, and the matching connector accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm² with a separate 4 mm² functional earth to minimize ground impedance. Electromagnetic compatibility follows EN 61000-6-4 for emission and EN 61000-6-2 for immunity, so the panel can be installed next to frequency drives and relay coils without signal disruption.
The rear housing carries a separate protection class of IP20, indicating that open ventilation slots are present on the cabinet side while still limiting finger access to live parts. Mechanical resilience is provided by a shock resistance of 5 G, supporting reliable operation on vibrating machinery frames. Two downstream USB ports deliver a transfer rate of 480 Mbit/s and follow the USB 2.0 standard, enabling high-speed logging to flash media or connection of barcode scanners. Peripheral cables can run up to 5 m, and the two ports allow separate connections for input devices and removable storage.
