Product Description:
The CP6904-0021-0000 is a Panel PC produced by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. This unit combines an industrial computer with an operator front and is intended for human-machine interaction on production lines, packaging cells, and process skids. Its single-touch screen lets plant personnel issue commands while observing live status data, so the device bridges supervisory control software and field-level hardware without an additional client computer.
The aluminum-faced housing carries a front rating of IP65, allowing wash-down from water jets while the rear remains at IP20 for cabinet ventilation. Internal electronics draw from a nominal 24 VDC supply that is fed through a five-pin power connector; conductors up to 1.5 mm² can be landed to meet IEC wiring practice. The plug is specified for a continuous load of 16 A, so ancillary peripherals powered through the panel do not exceed the branch circuit limit. For remote graphics, the integrated DVI-I port drives a secondary monitor over distances up to 50 m, which lets the same controller feed large scoreboards or maintenance consoles located on a mezzanine.
User I/O is built around a single upstream USB-B socket that supports cable runs of 5 m; it links the panel to a host controller when the device is configured as an industrial monitor rather than an autonomous PC. Two downstream ports are presented as USB-A receptacles, enabling barcode scanners or service flash drives to be connected at the machine. When higher-speed data logging is required, the internal USB-E interface extends over 50 m at a throughput of 480 Mbit/s, preserving full-speed operation even when routed through drag-chain cabling. A TFT display and single-touch technology complete the local interface, while the sheet-steel chassis provides mechanical rigidity for vibration zones.
