Product Description:
The CP6903-0021-0000 is a compact panel PC assembled by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Engineered as a combined display and control station, the unit serves as a human-machine interface that runs visualization, motion, and logic tasks directly at the machine level. By integrating computing power with an industrial touchscreen, it reduces cabinet space and shortens signal paths between field devices and PLC software. This configuration helps equipment builders standardize operator panels across different machine sizes and keep the operator interface close to the controlled process.
The panel draws its logic and backlight power from a 24 VDC supply delivered through a power plug rated for 16 A, and its spring terminals accept control wiring up to 1.5 mm². A TFT display is used, giving stable colors and wide viewing angles that support operator readability. Environmental sealing on the aluminum front meets IP65, while the rear has an IP20 classification so heat can dissipate inside a protected cabinet. Mechanical durability includes shock resistance of 5 G for impacts lasting 30 ms, and the electronics remain functional in ambient humidity up to 95% RH without condensation. For applications that need high-speed control loops, the internal EtherCAT-based DDC channel supports a 50 kHz rate limit, allowing rapid sampling of drive data and sensor events.
For remote display connections, the integrated DVI interface sustains image integrity over cable runs up to 50 m, allowing the screen to be mounted away from noisy power sections. Two USB ports are available, and they follow the USB 2.0 standard to support peripheral bandwidths up to 480 Mbit/s when routed through the optional RJ45-based USB extender. Field devices can be linked to these ports over distances of 5 m, and up to 2 USB devices can operate at the same time without external hubs. This arrangement supports common service peripherals and local data transfer devices without adding separate interface hardware.
