The CP6903-0001-0000 is a fanless Panel PC display unit manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for control-cabinet mounting, it serves as the human-machine interface for PLC-based automation lines, allowing operators to visualize machine status and interact with TwinCAT or other control software. The unit draws its computing power from a remote Industrial PC over a DVI/USB link, so it offers the front-mounting convenience of a touch panel while keeping heat-generating electronics inside protected enclosures.
It is powered from a 24 VDC supply, although the terminal block requires at least 22 VDC to maintain stable logic levels. Power enters through a 5-pin connector rated for 16 A, so peripheral loads such as backlight inverters can share the same feed without exceeding conductor limits. The front aluminum bezel and gasket have a rating of Front IP65, Rear IP20, which protects the touchscreen from dust and washdown spray while leaving the cabinet interior accessible for forced-air cooling. Continuous service is permitted up to 55 °C, and relative humidity may rise to 95 % without internal condensation. Field wiring accepts conductors up to 1.5 mm², which simplifies connection with common control-panel cable rails.
The display can be installed up to 50 m from the host PC through Beckhoff’s remote link, allowing flexible placement on large machines while keeping maintenance centralized. During transport or operation, it withstands shocks of 5 G lasting 30 ms, so no additional damping hardware is required in standard industrial frames. A separate protective earth using at least 4 mm² copper supports reliable fault clearing over the long cable run. Two Type A ports provide access for user media and service tools through the bezel, and both follow the USB 2.0 standard for 480 Mb/s data transfer.
