The CP6903-0000-0000 is a compact Panel PC interface from Beckhoff, assigned to the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit functions as an operator terminal that relays visualization, control inputs, and diagnostic data between field equipment and the main industrial PC. Installed on machine enclosures, it allows personnel to supervise processes, adjust parameters, and acknowledge alarms without opening control cabinets, thereby reducing downtime and exposure to live conductors.
The panel operates from a 24 VDC nominal supply that matches the auxiliary voltage rails commonly present in control cabinets. Power enters through a 5-Pin Voltage Socket that is cleared for 16 A, enabling the device to share protection with other 24-volt loads on the same feeder. Internal terminals accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², so standard control wiring can be used without oversized lugs. The sheet-steel rear and aluminum front are drawn tight to the door with pull-out clamping levers, and the front surface achieves IP65 ingress protection, blocking dust and water projected during washdown while permitting the heat generated by the electronics to dissipate toward the cabinet interior.
The back housing is rated IP20, which is sufficient because it resides within the sealed cabinet. A DVI Extended (X101) link feeds the integrated TFT panel, and the signal may travel up to 50 m to the host PC without repeaters, allowing flexible controller placement. The surface recognizes Single-Touch commands, suitable for straightforward menu navigation and push-button control. Six status LEDs on the bezel indicate supply presence, communication, and fault states, giving quick visual feedback during operation. An RJ45-based USB Extended connector allows program updates from a laptop while the machine remains energized. The 50 kHz DDC rate limit synchronizes display refresh and touch sampling with deterministic fieldbus cycles.
