Product Description:
The CP6902-0001 is a panel-mounted industrial computer from Beckhoff, positioned within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This model combines a touchscreen, communication interfaces, and power conditioning in one enclosure so it can serve as the local human-machine interface on packaging machines, filling lines, or other discrete-automation stations. By executing visualization software onsite and relaying process variables to upper-level controllers, the unit reduces cabinet wiring and shortens operator response time in distributed control architectures.
Visual interaction is provided by a TFT screen, and the single DVI-I input supports one external video source with a maximum cable reach of 50 m before signal boosters are required. The front aluminum bezel carries an IP65 rating, blocking dust and low-pressure water jets, while the rear portion is intended for cabinet integration. A nominal supply of 24 VDC feeds the electronics through a 5-pin connector. Two USB-A ports comply with USB 2.0 signaling so memory keys or USB keyboards can be connected without additional hubs. A 1.5 mm² maximum conductor cross-section fits the spring terminals, and one USB-B receptacle as well as one USB-E receptacle are present for host uplink and service access.
Power distribution follows NEC Class 2 guidelines, and the connector is rated at 16 A, allowing several low-voltage peripherals to share the same feed. High-speed transfers up to 480 Mbit/s are possible over a direct cable length of 5 m. Internal I/O routing keeps display, video, and service links separate, easing EMC compliance during cabinet layout. The rear housing carries an IP20 ingress rating that suits installation inside sealed control cabinets. Field wiring connects directly to the rear terminals, which keeps the cabinet connection layout simple and easy to access.
