Product Description:
The CP6901-0010-0000 Panel PC is produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for control-cabinet mounting, the unit combines an industrial computer and touch display so it serves as both an operator interface and a machine-control node in automation lines. Its purpose is to run control software such as TwinCAT while providing a protected, front-panel user interface directly on the equipment, eliminating the need for separate PCs and displays. The device draws its supply from 24 V DC field power and can forward graphical output through an internal DVI extender.
The electrical and enclosure details describe how the Panel PC is wired and installed. The nominal supply voltage is 24 VDC, and the input circuitry remains operational down to 22 V so brief brownouts do not interrupt operation. Field wiring enters a 5-pin power connector that is rated for 16 A, and conductors up to 1.5 mm² can be clamped in the contacts. The aluminum front bezel carries IP65 protection against dust and water jets, while the steel rear housing carries IP20 ingress protection suitable for a closed cabinet. One DVI extended input allows remote graphics sources, and standard I/O includes one USB 2.0 input, one USB extended input, and two USB outputs that comply with the USB 2.0 transfer standard.
The unit is suited for mobile or vibration-rich installations. The electronics withstand continuous acceleration of 5 G and transient shocks lasting 30 ms without functional loss. For sinusoidal vibration, amplitude is limited to 0.035 mm between 10 and 58 Hz and to a severity of 0.5 G from 58 to 500 Hz, matching typical machine-mounted requirements. These limits allow the Panel PC to be mounted on moving gantries or near presses while maintaining display readability and internal connector integrity. The DVI extended input and USB connections are integrated in the same housing, so the display and computer functions remain together on one machine-mounted unit.
