Product Description:
The CP6901-0001-0010 operator panel is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series. This panel PC combines an aluminum front plate, a TFT display, and a single-touch sensor to present a compact human-machine interface for production machinery. It is intended to run visualization software and to forward operator commands to the underlying controller, so it functions as the local interaction point between field devices and higher-level SCADA equipment.
In normal operation the panel communicates with decentralized terminals through Beckhoff’s Device Data Channel at up to 50 kHz, allowing high-speed transfer of process variables and setpoints. An integrated DVI-I interface permits a remote monitor to be placed as far as 50 m from the unit without signal degradation. The front panel carries an ingress rating of IP65, so the screen can be wiped during washdown cleaning while the sheet-steel housing remains inside the cabinet with rear protection to IP20. Power is supplied from a control voltage of 24 VDC, and the pluggable supply connector is rated for currents up to 16 A to support CPU start-up inrush and peripheral loads. Two USB host ports meet the 2.0 standard, allowing flash drives or keyboards to be connected for maintenance. Wire entries accept conductors up to 1.5 mm², easing field termination.
For environmental resilience, the electronics tolerate relative humidity up to 95% without condensation. During transport or operation, the assembly endures mechanical shocks of 5 G for periods of 30 ms, protecting data integrity on the CompactFlash storage and helping prevent display damage. These limits allow the panel PC to be mounted on moving axes or mobile equipment without additional damping hardware, while its metal enclosure helps dissipate heat generated by the CPU and backlight.
