Product Description:
The CP6900-1400-0000 is a panel-mounted PC from Beckhoff that belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series and serves as a combined operator interface and controller gateway in automated machinery. By integrating display, computing, and fieldbus communication in one housing, it simplifies installation on manufacturing lines where visual process feedback and local data entry are required. It is well suited for packaging, assembly, and processing machines that need local HMI access while still exchanging data with surrounding automation hardware. This combined layout reduces the number of separate devices in the panel cutout and keeps operator interaction close to the machine.
The unit employs a TFT display for clear visualization, and its aluminum front achieves a protection level of IP65, allowing direct mounting on enclosures that may be exposed to washdown or airborne particulates; the rear section remains at IP20 for cabinet ventilation. Power is supplied through a wide-range input of 22–30 VDC, so unregulated 24 V plant power can be used without additional converters. There are 2 USB ports, which support flash drives or service keyboards and follow the USB 2.0 standard. Mechanical resilience includes a shock tolerance of 5 G, 30 ms, while vibration endurance covers 0.035 mm displacement from 10 Hz to 58 Hz and 0.5 G acceleration from 58 Hz to 500 Hz to protect onboard electronics during normal machine operation.
A remote monitor can be connected through a DVI-I interface that carries video up to 50 m, which is useful in large conveyor or packaging cells where the PC is separated from the viewing point. Electromagnetic compliance meets EN 61000-6-4 for emissions and EN 61000-6-2 for immunity, allowing integration in industrial zones with welding equipment or variable-frequency drives. Continuous operation is specified for ambient temperatures from 0–55 °C, and external batteries or SSDs can be stored safely at -25 °C to 65 °C when the machine is idle. A DIN rail power plug rated at 16 A distributes DC input to the internal power supply, providing sufficient margin for processor loads, backlight inrush, and peripheral draw without nuisance trips.
