The CP6829-0001-0000 is an operator interface produced by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. Its built-in mounting style allows the aluminum front bezel to sit flush with the cabinet surface, creating a sealed control point on production equipment. By integrating computing power, visualization, and direct keypad entry, the unit provides machine operators with real-time process data and permits online parameter adjustments without requiring a separate PC. This configuration places the display and physical controls together, allowing users to monitor machine conditions and enter commands from one panel.
Its display measures 6.5 inches diagonally and renders operator graphics at 640 × 480 pixels, a format that matches many legacy HMI screens and minimizes scaling artifacts. The panel uses a TFT matrix, so color depth and viewing angles remain stable under factory lighting. A projected capacitive touch screen replaces membrane switches, allowing operators to navigate menus directly from the display. The anodized front bezel carries an IP65 rating, preventing dust ingress and protecting the panel against direct water jets when it is flush-mounted. All electronics are powered from a single 24 VDC supply, simplifying cabinet wiring and allowing the device to share the same low-voltage rail as field I/O.
The rear cover is protected to IP20 and is milled from aluminum to dissipate heat without fans. Optional fieldbus or storage cards connect through 3 backplane connectors associated with the motherboard slots. External visualization hardware can be driven by a combined DVI/USB port on the panel edge. Two front-accessible USB Type-A sockets provide plug-and-play access for recipe transfers and software updates, allowing a keyboard and flash drive to remain connected simultaneously. A numeric keyboard with ten PLC special keys is integrated into the panel. Each key can be relabeled using slide-in strips, and LED backlighting clearly indicates key status during operation in low-light areas.
