Product Description:
The CP6822-0002-0010 is a Panel PC produced by Beckhoff and included in the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as a front-mounted human-machine interface that combines computing hardware, display, and operator controls in one enclosure, allowing direct supervision, status viewing, and command entry on automated lines and cells. By combining the screen, touch input, and hard keys behind an aluminum faceplate, the unit simplifies cabinet layouts and reduces internal cabling between separate PCs and operator stations.
The visualization side uses a 15 in TFT panel behind a front plate rated IP65, so dust and sprayed water from the production floor are kept away from the electronics. The front plate and the rest of the housing are made from aluminum, which keeps the enclosure light and helps transfer heat away from internal components. The unit has 2 internal USB ports for data-logging dongles or service keyboards, and the legends on the membrane buttons can be changed with slide-in labels for quick language adaptation. A numeric keyboard supports direct setpoint entry, while ten PLC special keys provide single-touch access to machine functions. Installation is completed from the front of the cabinet with pull-out clamping levers, and a touchpad supplements the tactile keys for cursor control on the screen.
Rear panel wiring enters an IP20 compartment that also carries a DVI/USB interface for an auxiliary display and data exchange. Graphics are generated at 1024 x 768 pixels, a resolution commonly used by industrial SCADA packages and machine visualization software. Reliable operation is maintained between 0 to 55 °C, permitting placement near heat-generating equipment inside production cabinets. All circuitry is supplied by a single 24 V DC line, allowing the panel to draw power directly from standard control rails. This arrangement supports installation where the operator station and control hardware share the same cabinet power system.
