Product Description:
The CP6809-0000-0000 is a compact panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an industrial computer and a front display for machine-level visualization, allowing PLC or motion software to run locally while giving operators direct access to status data. Intended for installation in control consoles or door panels, the model reduces cabinet wiring by integrating processing, display, and communication hardware into a single front-mounted device used in discrete and process automation lines. Its fanless design meets typical plant-floor demands.
The panel operates from a regulated 24 VDC supply, so it can be fed from the same low-voltage bus that powers sensors and I/O terminals. Its screen measures 6.5 in, giving a small footprint for cramped operator stations, and it presents graphics at 640 × 480 resolution on a TFT display for basic SCADA pages or alarm lists. A sealed front bezel rated IP65 blocks dust and water jets when the housing is correctly seated, while the rear side remains accessible. The enclosure is milled from aluminum, providing mechanical strength and acting as a heat sink for the internal electronics. User I/O to external monitors or peripherals is handled through a DVI/USB combination port at the rear, eliminating the need for serial links. The mounting style is built in, permitting flush integration into machines or console doors without external brackets.
System connectivity inside the cabinet is provided by 3 backplane connectors, allowing the PC to link directly to Beckhoff I/O modules without additional wiring harnesses. The electronics compartment carries an IP20 rating, which is sufficient once the unit is secured behind the sealed front and housed within a protected enclosure. The front frame is tightened with pull-out clamping levers, so the panel can be released or secured from the machine front.
