Beckhoff manufactures the CP6802-1006-0010 operator station as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit combines an industrial computer with an integrated touchscreen to give machine builders a compact HMI node. It is installed on control cabinets or arm systems and permits direct visualization, parameter entry, and status monitoring inside an automated cell. By merging PC-based control with fieldbus communication, the panel PC reduces wiring and allows decentralized processing near the machine.

The operator interface presents a 15 in active-matrix TFT display that yields crisp images at 1024 x 768 pixels, sufficient for multi-window SCADA layouts. Despite its generous screen area, the panel retains a slim profile; its enclosure depth is only 32 mm, while the bezel spans 430.4 mm in width and 403 mm in height, allowing flush mounting in limited cabinet doors. A DVI-D connector mirrors the screen content to an external monitor, and two USB Type A downstream ports comply with the USB 1.1 standard for barcode readers or USB flash drives.

System wiring is simplified through a single 24 VDC power input that feeds the motherboard and backlight. The cast aluminum housing shields circuitry and, together with a sealed front membrane, achieves IP65 ingress protection on the process side; the rear remains IP20, supporting natural convection inside the cabinet. The design tolerates plant environments up to 95 % relative humidity without condensation, and it withstands impacts up to 5 G during transport or accidental bumping. This front sealing supports installation adjacent to washdown areas or in material-handling enclosures where airborne moisture and dust are present. A USB Type B upstream port provides programming access, while the TFT technology assures stable color even under vibration.
