Product Description:
The CP6801-1006-0010 belongs to Beckhoff's CP Panel PC Systems series and functions as a compact operator panel for PLC supervision, data entry, and visualization tasks on the factory floor. It combines a display, touch interface, and embedded computer in one enclosure. This layout simplifies control cabinet design and reduces wiring in automated assembly cells, packaging lines, and process skids.
The front carries a 12-inch screen that delivers 800 x 600 pixels, allowing clear viewing of process graphics, status pages, and alarm lists from typical machine-side distances. The TFT display provides wide viewing angles and consistent color reproduction, which helps when more than one operator needs to read the screen during production. A sealed aluminum bezel and membrane keys provide IP65 protection on the front face, so the panel tolerates water spray and airborne dust when installed in machinery doors. Pull-out clamping levers secure the housing from the rear of the mounting cutout, and two backplane USB ports support local keyboard or scanner attachment without additional hubs. A combined DVI/USB interface can forward video and touch signals to an external host when the panel is used with separate control hardware.
The system draws control power from a 24 V DC supply, matching the low-voltage distribution commonly used inside electrical panels and avoiding the need for a separate AC outlet at the installation point. Electronics remain functional from 0 °C to 55 °C, enabling installation in non-air-conditioned production halls where internal cabinet temperatures can rise during normal operation. Rear surfaces meet IP20 protection, so the cabinet interior must stay free of conductive debris and direct contact with energized parts must be prevented. Three backplane sockets provide 3 independent system connectors for I/O or extension modules, and the two unbolded USB lines provide removable-media or service-tool access during updates or diagnostics.
