Product Description:
The CP6702-1028-0040 is an industrial panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for machine-level visualization and control, this unit combines a touch-ready display, an embedded controller, and the required I/O interfaces in one enclosure. When installed in a control cabinet door or operator station, it functions as a direct HMI and edge computer, executing automation tasks while providing real-time feedback to operators.
Operation is supplied from a 24 VDC field power rail, eliminating the need for separate AC conversion hardware. The enclosure uses a fanless thermal path that relies on internal heat spreaders, so no moving parts are added to the cabinet. A TFT panel forms the integrated screen, giving clear color rendering for process graphics. Four USB receptacles follow the USB 2.0 standard, allowing connection of keyboards, service sticks, or barcode readers. Network traffic is handled through two RJ-45 jacks that support 10/100/1000BASE-T data rates, permitting direct linkage to EtherCAT segments or corporate Ethernet. The front face carries an IP65 rating that blocks dust and water jets, and the total assembly weighs 6.3 kg, keeping door loads moderate.
The unit includes a CFast slot for non-volatile application data, and this exchangeable medium tolerates vibration better than rotating drives. For legacy monitor chains, a single DVI-I connector enables mirrored graphics output without using the panel itself. The rear part of the housing meets IP20, so it must be mounted inside a protected cabinet space. Mechanical integrity during transport and operation is verified for shocks up to 5 G lasting 30 ms and for continuous vibration of 0.5 G at 0.035 mm peak-to-peak. These shock and vibration limits support use in mobile, packaging, and press-line installations.
