Product Description:
The CP6700-0500 is a fanless Panel PC in the CP Panel PC Systems series from Beckhoff. Designed for cabinet mounting, this device combines visualization, control, and networking tasks in a single unit. Within an automation cell, it serves as the operator interface and embedded controller, exchanging data with field devices while presenting process graphics on an attached display through its digital-only DVI output. Integration of processing, storage, and industrial I/O simplifies machine footprints and reduces cabinet wiring. The absence of forced-air cooling also helps reduce dust intake inside the enclosure and supports stable operation in compact control cabinets.
The unit operates from a regulated input of 22-30 VDC, allowing direct connection to 24 V control power common in cabinets. System memory is provided by DDR3L modules, balancing low power consumption with adequate bandwidth for HMI graphics and PLC logic. One CFast slot supports bootable solid-state storage for operating system and recipe data. An Intel i210 MAC/PHY forms the networking core and feeds 2 independent Ethernet ports; these interfaces negotiate at 100/1000 Mbit/s for real-time fieldbus or IT traffic. Cable segments can extend to 100 m, meeting typical plant-floor distance requirements without intermediate switches. The DVI interface is limited to digital signaling, eliminating analog conversion errors. Separate network connections also allow the unit to communicate with machine devices and higher-level systems at the same time.
Local peripherals such as barcode scanners or service sticks connect through 4 front-accessible ports that follow the USB 2.0 standard, maintaining compatibility with many common industrial accessories. Continuous duty is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to 55 °C. Storage is permitted from -20 to 65 °C when the unit is not operating. Mechanical durability is documented at 5 G, 30 ms shock and a vibration profile of 10-58 Hz at 0.035 mm displacement and 58-500 Hz at 0.5 G, so the panel PC can remain functional on moving gantries or presses. Front USB access also allows temporary peripherals to be connected without opening the cabinet.
