Product Description:
The CP6609-0001-0000 is a fanless Panel PC produced by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as a combined control computer and operator interface. This allows PLC logic, HMI graphics, and fieldbus traffic to run on the same platform so equipment builders can simplify panel layouts and reduce cabinet depth in automated cells and packaging machines.
An Intel IXP420 XScale processor clocked at 533 MHz executes the runtime tasks, while 128 MB of DDR SDRAM handles volatile program data and 32 MB of flash memory stores the operating system, user application, and recipe files. Operators view process information on the resistive touch screen that measures 6.5 in diagonally; the front bezel footprint is 240 mm by 175 mm, and it fits a 226 mm by 161 mm panel cutout. Power is supplied at 24 V DC, making the unit compatible with common control cabinet power buses. The aluminum front meets the IP65 ingress protection rating once the gasket is compressed against the enclosure, shielding the display and function keys from dust and low-pressure water jets. Two USB Type-A ports are available for service keyboards or data sticks, and one RS-232 port provides a legacy serial channel for barcode readers or weight scales.
Network integration is handled by 2 Ethernet ports that each negotiate at 10/100 Mbit/s; this allows one port to link to the machine network while the second port connects to a higher-level line controller without an external switch. The rear housing carries an IP20 rating because it is designed to reside inside a sealed cabinet, and it offers spring terminals for the 24 V feed. Installation is done from the front, where the mounting clamps draw the bezel flush to the machine door and help maintain the required cutout tolerances for vibration resistance during continuous operation.
