The CP6607-0000-0000 is a compact panel PC assembled by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for machine-level operation and visualization, the unit combines an embedded processor with an integrated display so it can host control software, act as a local HMI, and forward data to higher-level networks in an automation line. This arrangement keeps the operator interface and computing hardware in one device, which reduces the need for separate display wiring. Because the computing electronics sit directly behind the screen, cabinet depth is minimized, making the model suitable for control-cabinet doors or arm mounting in tight production cells.
Processing tasks are handled by the Intel IXP420 XScale system-on-chip running at 533 MHz. The board carries 128 MB of SDRAM for program execution and a soldered 32 MB flash drive that stores the operating system and user project files. A single CompactFlash slot allows easy transfer of recipes or log data, while one mini-PCI socket accommodates option cards such as fieldbus interfaces. Two RJ45 connectors support 10/100-Mbit Ethernet, a pair of USB 2.0 ports accepts external storage or input devices, and a nine-pin RS-232 port is available for legacy peripherals. Electrical power is supplied at 24 V DC, matching standard control-cabinet supplies.
The front panel uses a 5.7 in TFT that renders graphics at 640 x 480 pixels, which is suitable for compact status dashboards or recipe entry pages. Because there is no touch surface and no front keys, user interaction must be provided through connected keyboards, mice, or remote software clients. The enclosure has a rating of IP65 front / IP20 rear; when it is correctly sealed in a machine door, the screen resists washdown spray while the recessed electronics remain ventilated inside the enclosure. The metal housing and clip mounting give overall dimensions of 183 x 128.5 x 62.2 mm, allowing installation in shallow spaces without interfering with neighboring components.
