The CP6606-0001-0020 is a fanless Panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. This compact industrial computer integrates a 7-inch touchscreen, motherboard, and fieldbus interfaces into one housing, allowing installation directly on control cabinets or operator stations. In automation lines it functions as both a human-machine interface and a soft PLC platform, reducing cabinet space and wiring compared with separate display and controller modules.
A single EtherCAT port is paired with an additional Ethernet channel that operates at 10/100BASE-T through a standard RJ45 connector, enabling deterministic fieldbus traffic alongside conventional TCP/IP communication. The logic board is supplied with a nominal 24 VDC, so it can be sourced from the same low-voltage rail that feeds sensors and I/O terminals. Computation is handled by an ARM processor, giving adequate performance for visualization screens and real-time task cycles while maintaining low heat dissipation. On the front panel, the enclosure reaches IP54, preventing dust deposits and splashed liquids from reaching the display or membrane keys, which is important for operator stations mounted on machinery doors.
Two USB ports permit keyboard, service dongle, or camera attachment, and one RS-232 interface presented on a 9-pin DSUB supports legacy devices. Data storage is provided by a removable MicroSD card, allowing media changes without opening the entire unit. The rear housing is rated IP20, reflecting the expectation that this side faces an enclosed cabinet space.
