Product Description:
The CP6601-0001-0020 is a fanless panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff for the CP Panel PC Systems series. Supplied as an integrated operator station, the unit combines visualization, control, and fieldbus routing in a single enclosure so it can mount directly on machines or electrical panels. By pairing a touch display with onboard communication ports, the device serves as a human-machine interface and lightweight controller for packaging lines, material-handling cells, and other discrete automation tasks. The display supports local operator input, while the computing section handles control tasks close to the machine.
Inside the slim housing, an ARM Cortex-A8 processor runs at a 1 GHz clock frequency, giving the panel enough headroom for PLC logic and web visualization. Working memory comes from 1 GB DDR3 RAM, while nonvolatile data such as recipe sets reside on the 512 MB microSD card. In addition, 128 kB of NOVRAM secures cyclic values against power loss. All electronics are fed from a single 24 V DC supply, simplifying cabinet wiring. The front bezel is machined aluminum and the rear section is sheet steel, creating a rigid enclosure without front keys that can trap debris. An RS-232 port supports legacy devices, and an onboard EtherCAT interface lets the panel act as the first node in a real-time I/O network.
The visualization stack is presented on a 12 in TFT panel that renders at 800 × 600 pixels and is operated through a single-finger touch screen, so menu navigation is performed directly on the glass. For plant communication, the controller exposes a 1 × 10/100BASE-T Ethernet socket for standard TCP/IP traffic, while time-critical I/O continues to flow over a dedicated EtherCAT connection. Two front-accessible 2 × USB 2.0 ports accept service sticks or barcode scanners without opening the cabinet door. The panel can exchange diagnostics with higher-level SCADA and support local machine control while fitting into a shallow mounting depth.
