The CP6531-0002-0060 is a 12-inch panel PC built by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Serving as a combined operator interface and control node, it mounts directly into a cabinet door or machine fascia so that PLC logic, motion tasks, and process visualization can run on the same platform. By integrating PC-based automation inside an IP-rated front housing, the unit replaces separate industrial monitors and controllers with a single hardware component. This arrangement keeps the operator interface close to the machine process and reduces the need for separate cabinet-mounted computing hardware.
The unit accepts an AC mains range of 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to 60 Hz, and it can also operate from a DC bus between 22 to 30 VDC, allowing backup supplies to bridge outages. The 12-inch TFT panel presents graphics at 800 × 600 pixels in a classic 4:3 aspect ratio, while the 12 in diagonal keeps icons readable at arm's length. An alphanumeric keyboard is integrated into the front foil, and a touch pad provides cursor control, eliminating the need for external mice. With front protection rated at IP65, dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the display, keyboard, or pointing device when the panel is correctly installed.
Connectivity and service access are located on the rear side. Four high-speed ports provide 4 x USB 2.0 connections for data logging or dongle licensing, while legacy peripherals can be linked through 2 x RS232 connectors. Network integration is handled by a single 1 x RJ45 Ethernet interface that terminates the motherboard's ATX form factor carrier. Continuous operation from 0 to 55 °C is supported, so most control cabinets do not require additional cooling. The rear housing is sealed to IP20, matching standard enclosure interiors, and the slim chassis measures 430.4 × 378.2 × 32 mm. A matching panel cutout of 416.4 × 364.2 mm ensures a flush fit and uniform gasket compression.
