Product Description:
The CP6512-0001-0030 panel PC is produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines an industrial display, dedicated function keys, and an embedded motherboard to serve as the local human-machine interface and supervisory computer on production equipment. By hosting control software and communication ports inside one sealed front frame, the unit streamlines cabinet wiring and supports decentralized automation on packaging machines, conveyors, and assembly cells. This arrangement lets operators view process status and enter commands at the machine without relying on a separate stand-alone HMI terminal.
The display uses a 4:3 aspect ratio with a 15-inch diagonal, delivering operator graphics at 1024 x 768 pixels. The aluminum bezel is sealed to IP65, which helps keep out dust and low-pressure water when the panel is mounted in machinery. Overall front dimensions are 430.4 mm wide and 403 mm high, while the required cabinet cutout is 416.4 mm by 389 mm for stable clamping. External connections include a 1 x RJ45 Ethernet interface for field networks, a 4 x USB group for service devices, and a 15-pin SUB-D VGA port that mirrors the primary screen. Five contacts on the power plug provide line, neutral, and protective earth continuity.
Inside the housing, a 7-slot ATX motherboard accommodates standard PCI and ISA cards so the system can be tailored for motion control or advanced graphics. Peripherals that still rely on serial communication connect through 2 x RS232 connectors, and the operator can issue rapid commands with the row of 10 programmable membrane keys located beneath the display. The rear section has a ventilation opening and therefore meets the enclosure class IP20, which is suitable for sheltered control cabinets. The membrane keys can be assigned to repetitive machine functions so common commands remain available even when software screens are changed.
