Product Description:
The CP6502-0001-0060 is a panel PC produced by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. It merges a 15-inch operator display, a motherboard, and industrial I/O into one enclosure so it can host visualization software and execute control logic directly on the machine frame. By combining human-machine interface and PC functionality, the unit streamlines installation in packaging lines, assembly cells, and process equipment where cabinet space and cabling must be minimized. This arrangement allows the display layer and control application to run from the same device instead of requiring a separate industrial computer.
The projected-capacitive screen measures 15 in across the diagonal and renders graphics at 1024 × 768 pixels, giving operators finger-driven control without external pointing devices. Processing tasks are handled by a dual-core Intel Celeron T3100 1.9 GHz CPU, which is matched to 2 GB DDR3 of system memory for real-time data logging and supervisory tasks. Persistent files, recipes, and operating systems reside on a 1 TB 3.5-inch HDD, while an Intel GMA 4500MHD controller drives the LVDS panel without needing a discrete GPU. The front panel contains no electromechanical keys, reducing wear points, and the touch screen serves as the sole input surface for setpoint entry, alarm acknowledgment, and navigation. Because the operator area is flat rather than key-based, the front surface is also easier to wipe clean during regular machine use.
An anodized aluminum bezel rated at IP65 protects the front face from dust and directed water, whereas the rear chassis carries an IP20 rating for cabinet-mounted environments. Expansion is available through 3 × PCIe x1, 3 × PCI, 1 × PCIe x16 slots, allowing motion cards or fieldbus adapters to be added without external PCs. The housing is 200 mm deep, 430.5 mm wide, and 403 mm high, while the corresponding panel cutouts measure 418.4 mm by 391 mm for flush installation. This layout keeps the operator interface on the front of the machine while internal PC hardware remains enclosed behind the panel.
