The CP6500-1001-0050 is a panel PC produced by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. It integrates an industrial computer and a 10-inch touchscreen into a sealed housing that mounts directly on a control cabinet or machine frame. In factory automation, it serves as the operator interface and executes control software so motion, process, or building systems can be supervised without a separate PC enclosure.
The front panel carries a 10 in display that provides local visualization while keeping the footprint small. An aluminum bezel with IP65 protection shields the screen and membrane keys from dust and washdown spray, allowing installation on packaging or food lines. Networking is handled through 1 x RJ-45 LAN, enabling direct connection to Ethernet-based fieldbuses or plant networks. Four USB interfaces are available for service keyboards, scanners, or memory sticks, and because they sit behind the front door they can be accessed without opening the cabinet. Mechanical durability is rated at 5 G, 30 ms shock, so the electronics tolerate normal machine vibration and accidental impacts. Additional ports include two PS/2 connectors, one 15-pin VGA output for an external monitor, three audio jacks, and a five-contact pluggable power terminal.
Internally, the unit uses a 7-slot ATX chassis that accommodates standard PCI cards. The electronics are cooled passively inside a case measuring 333 × 308 × 165 mm and weighing 10.1 kg, which supports stable panel installation. The unit can operate at up to 95% non-condensing humidity, and the rear is rated IP20 because it is intended to remain inside the cabinet. Communication with legacy devices is provided through 2 x RS-232 and a parallel LPT1 port, and these connections complement the Ethernet and front-side interfaces already described.
