Product Description:
The CP6231-0001-0040 is an industrial Panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. It serves as a combined control computer and operator station, allowing direct visualization, command input, and alarm monitoring in automated machinery. The unit is designed for cabinet or arm mounting so that machine builders can place the computing power and user interface at the production line without separate PCs or monitors.
The front side centers on a 12 in diagonal display that delivers a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels on a TFT panel. A resistive touch screen overlays the display so operators can issue commands without external pointing devices, while an alphanumeric front keyboard supports data entry when tactile keys are preferred. The faceplate achieves a protection degree of IP65, preventing dust or low-pressure water jets from reaching internal electronics. Internally, the system runs from a single 24 V DC supply, simplifying power integration with standard control-cabinet sources. Mechanical depth is 58 mm, and the housing spans 410.4 mm in width by 378.2 mm in height, allowing flush installation in machine doors or consoles.
I/O resources are arranged along the rear panel. The unit includes 4 x USB 2.0 ports that accept flash drives or service peripherals, and 2 x 10/100/1000BASE-T ports provide redundant or segmented Ethernet connectivity to plant networks. Serial legacy equipment can remain in service through the integrated 1 x RS232 channel, while external projectors or secondary monitors attach to the 1 x DVI video output. The rear side carries an IP20 rating because it is expected to sit inside a protected enclosure, and the enclosure itself is fabricated from a steel-plate chassis with an aluminum front for rigidity and heat dissipation.
