Product Description:
The CP6223-0002-0040 is a panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for installation on machine fronts, this unit merges an industrial computer with an operator display so that PLC runtimes, visualization software, and local data entry share the same housing. In an automation cell, it provides the graphical human-machine interface that operators use to start recipes, acknowledge alarms, and monitor process values while the integrated electronics handle data logging and network communication.
Its front face carries a 19-inch TFT screen that offers a workspace large enough for multi-window SCADA dashboards. The native resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixels lets graphic objects and trending curves appear without scaling, which simplifies operator interpretation. Power comes from a 24 V DC supply, allowing the panel to be fed directly from a control cabinet power bus. For plant networking, the unit provides 2 × 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet ports, so one channel can link to a plant network while the second is reserved for field data. The aluminum front is sealed to IP65, stopping dust and washdown spray from reaching the display, touch pad, and numeric keyboard. A CFast slot accommodates solid-state system storage.
Behind the sealed bezel, the rear housing is rated IP20, making it suitable for mounting inside an enclosed panel where convection air is available. Four user-accessible ports, specified as 4 × USB 2.0, permit service imaging or the attachment of barcode readers, and legacy peripherals can connect through the dedicated 1 × RS232 (COM1) port. A touch pad serves as the pointing device, complementing the numeric keyboard for cursor work. The enclosure depth of 67 mm minimizes intrusion into shallow cabinets, while the 434 mm × 567.4 mm outline fits a panel cutout of 420 mm × 553.4 mm for proper gasket compression during installation.
