The CP6209-0001-0020 is a compact panel PC produced by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. Designed for mounting in control cabinets or machine fronts, the unit combines an industrial touchscreen with an embedded computer to run visualization, control, and data logging tasks in automation cells and process lines. As an all-in-one human-machine interface, it connects field devices to higher-level networks and allows operators to supervise motion, temperature, and safety parameters directly on the machine.
The front side carries a sealed aluminum bezel rated IP65, so dust and water jets cannot reach the display or keypad when the panel is installed flush into a machine door. The electronics are powered from a regulated 24 VDC source, and Beckhoff specifies a 1.5 mm² conductor size for the power leads to keep voltage drop within limits. Two onboard Ethernet interfaces support 10/100/1000BASE-T communication, allowing fast PLC, cloud, or MES connections while leaving an additional port for service access. Four downstream ports follow the USB 2.0 standard, giving installers a way to attach barcode scanners, memory sticks, or maintenance keyboards without extra hubs. A separate 8-pin power connector and an M4 ground thread complete the field wiring.
During transport or in mobile equipment, the assembly tolerates shocks up to 5 G for 30 ms, and its internal circuits are safeguarded by a field-replaceable fuse limited to 16 A maximum. Operation is allowed in enclosures where relative humidity does not exceed 95% RH, which helps prevent condensation on internal boards. For display extension, an integrated graphics controller drives a DVI-D output, enabling full-digital connections to larger monitors. The rear housing meets IP20 and measures 175 × 240 × 84 mm, and it seats into a 163 × 228 mm panel cutout.
