Beckhoff’s CP6202-1049-0050 is a fanless panel PC configured for the CP Panel PC Systems series. The unit integrates display hardware, computing functions, and industrial I/O within a single enclosure so it can be installed directly on a cabinet door or operator console. By combining visualization, real-time control, and data exchange in one platform, it reduces panel wiring and provides a central interface between machine mechanics, fieldbus networks, and higher-level supervisory software used in automated production cells.
The touchscreen measures 15 in diagonally and is driven at 1024 x 768 pixels, providing an XGA workspace suitable for SCADA graphics and alarm dialogs without scaling artifacts. The enclosure is rated IP65 at the front and IP20 at the rear, so liquids and dust are blocked at the operator side while internal convection remains possible at the rear. Power is supplied from a single 24 V DC source, allowing the computer to share the same low-voltage bus as sensors and relays in the control cabinet. Integrated networking consists of two 10/100/1000BASE-T interfaces, so the panel can separate real-time EtherCAT traffic from office Ethernet or connect to redundant network paths. The CBxx56 mainboard supports SATA RAID 1 for mirrored storage, and one RS232 port is present for legacy device integration.
The mechanical envelope simplifies front mounting: the bezel width is 380 mm and the height is 315 mm, matching standard Rittal cutouts. An external monitor can be connected through one DVI-I connector, enabling a duplicated or extended desktop on a secondary screen. Operator peripherals such as barcode readers or thumb drives attach to the four USB 2.0 sockets routed to the rear I/O plate. Inside, the 3.5-inch motherboard form factor conserves space, and the split construction of an aluminum front bonded to a steel rear shell provides electromagnetic shielding while keeping weight moderate. The chassis also includes threaded holes for VESA swing arms, so the panel can be swiveled toward different work areas without additional adapter plates.
