The CP6201-0021-0020 is a fanless panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It integrates a touchscreen, an embedded processor, and field connections into one panel-mounted unit. In machinery, it acts as the operator workstation and local controller, running visualization tasks while exchanging real-time data with PLCs. The device mounts in cabinet cutouts to save space and delivers human-machine interaction without a separate computer, with only the screen exposed while the electronics stay inside the enclosure.
The 12 in TFT display paired with 800 x 600 resolution provides sufficient pixel density for typical SCADA graphics. The single-touch resistive overlay permits finger or stylus input, and because the front bezel has no mechanical keys, accidental activation is avoided. Computing tasks are handled by an Intel Atom Z510 1.1 GHz processor supported by 1 GB DDR2 RAM, allowing lightweight real-time applications to run under Windows or TwinCAT. All electronics draw from a 24 V DC supply, so the panel can be wired directly to the low-voltage control circuit without additional converters. The CompactFlash slot ships with 128 MB for operating system and project storage.
The cabinet cutout must measure 268 x 318 mm, and the visible front frame measures 280 x 330 mm. With an installation depth of 47 mm, the unit fits shallow doors and leaves airflow clearance. The enclosure has ratings of Front IP65, Rear IP20, allowing washdown cleaning on the operator side while the backside remains inside the enclosure. Network connectivity is provided by 2 x 10/100/1000BASE-T interfaces, while expansion and service peripherals attach to 4 x USB 2.0 ports and a separate USB-A on the front. A DVI-D output allows a remote monitor to mirror the process screen when required.
