Product Description:
The CP6201-0001-0040 is an industrial panel PC manufactured by Beckhoff within the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines computing hardware with a flat-panel operator interface in one enclosure, allowing TwinCAT or other control software to run locally while operators issue commands and view status through the touch screen. The unit installs on mounting arms or in cabinets where a compact sealed HMI is needed for machine control. This arrangement reduces the need for a separate display terminal and computer in compact machine stations.
At the heart of the interface is a 12-inch TFT touch display that presents graphics at 800 x 600 pixels. The aluminum front is sealed to IP65, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the display or sensor, while the rear electronics remain open to cabinet ventilation at IP20. Two auto-negotiating Ethernet ports support 10/100/1000BASE-T signaling for network communication with controllers, drives, or plant systems. All logic, display backlight, and peripheral power is supplied from a single 24 V DC line, which simplifies cabinet wiring and supports uninterruptible power arrangements. The front has no membrane keys, so interaction is limited to the resistive touch surface, which tolerates gloved operation. A native RS-232 connector is also provided for legacy serial peripherals.
Nonvolatile storage sits on a CFast card, giving vibration-resistant data retention without rotating media. For removable peripherals, the rear panel offers 4 downstream ports compliant with the USB 2.0 standard, while an external monitor can be driven by the DVI output when a second display is needed. Mechanical integration follows a panel cutout of 263 x 318 mm, and the housing measures 330 x 275 x 58 mm, permitting installation into standard control desks without additional brackets. The shallow housing also helps the unit fit where space behind the panel is limited.
