CP6020-0000-0000 is a Beckhoff control panel. It is designed for industrial applications. The control panel is part of the CP60xx product series. It is optimized for plant and machine engineering applications. Its aluminum housing contains a 10.4 inch TFT display and a numeric keypad. A PS/2 interface on the back allows connections with a mouse or keyboard. Operators can install the unit in front of industrial control cabinets. Use in environments with a potential for explosions is not allowed. A serial RS-232 interface is also available at the rear. RS-232 is a standard for serial communication that defines the electrical and functional characteristics of a serial interface used for connecting devices. The unit is also equipped with a Beckhoff CP link interface at the rear. This interface provides power for the control panel and communication with industrial PCs. The PCs must be equipped with CP link cards. Industrial PCs can communicate with up to three control panels via three separate CP link cards. CP link technology utilizes coaxial cables for power and data transmission. Two separate cables are required for each bi-directional CP link connection. The maximum cable length supported by the technology is 100 meters. Pre-assembled CP link cable sets, measuring from 3 to 100 meters, are available from Beckhoff. Dimensions of the CP6020-0000-0000 control panel are 370 x 336 x 32 millimeters. Ambient conditions recommended by Beckhoff for CP6020-0000-0000 control panel operation include 0 to 55 degrees Celsius temperature and maximum 95% relative humidity. Front side of the unit complies with IP65 and the rear side with IP20 requirements.
