The CP6012-0001 operator panel belongs to the CP Panel PC Systems series produced by Beckhoff. Serving as a front-end display and input station for industrial controllers, it lets machine builders mount a complete HMI on an enclosure door while keeping the computing hardware in a protected cabinet. The unit integrates a screen, tactile keys, and touch input so operators can issue commands, acknowledge alarms, or view process data directly on the production floor.
At the visual core of the panel is a 15 in display that renders at 1024 x 768 pixels. The screen uses TFT technology for consistent luminance across the viewing angle and supports a resistive touch interface for finger or stylus input. A row of function keys sits below the active area to provide hardware shortcuts for common commands. The aluminum front bezel carries an IP65 ingress rating, so dust and low-pressure water jets cannot reach the electronics when the panel is sealed into a door cutout measuring 389 mm by 416.4 mm. Behind the bezel, a fanless aluminum housing connects to the controller over CP-Link, allowing video, USB, and power to travel through one hybrid cable while the panel face remains 403 mm high and 430.4 mm wide.
In the cabinet, the rear section is just 32 mm deep, leaving space for cable routing and airflow. Two grounding studs and a pressed-in gasket complete the back cover, whose protection level is IP20, appropriate for a closed compartment. Signal distribution relies on 2 BNC connectors that carry the differential video stream to and from the remote Beckhoff IPC; with low-loss coax, this link can extend up to 100 m without repeaters. The shallow profile and standardized mounting points align with the specified panel depth and secure the flange against the enclosure door.
