Beckhoff manufactures the CP Panel PC Systems series to deliver integrated operator terminals for machine and plant automation. The CP6001-1010-0010 belongs to this line and serves as a remote display and control front-end for an industrial PC, allowing operators to monitor processes and input commands directly at the production floor. By combining the functions of an HMI with the mechanical format of a panel PC, it simplifies cabinet design and preserves enclosure integrity.

For data transmission the unit relies on Beckhoff’s CP-Link interface, which transports video, USB, and power on a single line. Physical connection is realized through 2 x BNC sockets on the rear cover, minimizing cable bending stress. The operator is presented with a 12 in diagonal TFT screen that provides consistent color and brightness across the full viewing angle. An aluminum housing measures 372.2 mm in width, 342.2 mm in height, and only 32 mm in depth, so the panel occupies little cabinet volume. When mounted, the front side achieves a rating of IP65, allowing wash-down cleaning, while the panel cutout dimensions of 358.2 mm by 328.2 mm align with common machine door openings.

Beneath the slim profile the design also addresses environmental and installation limits. A single cable up to 100 m can separate the panel from its host PC, so the display may ride on moving gantries or distant operator stations while the computer stays inside a protected cabinet. Rear electronics are guarded to IP20, which is adequate for the clean side of an enclosure once the front seal is engaged. Operation is permitted in atmospheres up to 95% RH non-condensing, and the unit can be stored between -20 °C and 65 °C. That humidity limit supports use in enclosed industrial spaces. The storage range allows the unit to remain in storage or transit without damage.
