Product Description:
The CP3921-0000 is a Panel PC unit manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the CP Panel PC Systems series. It combines an industrial display, capacitive touch interface, and embedded controller hardware so that machine operators can issue commands and view process data from a single front end. Mounted on a support arm or cabinet door, the product serves as a human-machine interface for PLC-based production lines, packaging cells, and material-handling equipment.
A regulated input of 22-30 VDC powers the device’s processor, backlight, and auxiliary electronics, letting it tie directly into common 24 V control circuits. Continuous operation is allowed between 0 to +55 °C, so the PC can be installed in warm control rooms without extra cooling. The aluminum housing carries a front-side rating of IP65. This gasketed design blocks dust ingress and high-pressure water jets during washdowns. User interaction is handled through a Multi-Finger Touch (PCT) screen that recognizes simultaneous gestures for zoom or rotation commands. Video is routed through DVI Extended (X102), while service peripherals such as scanners or drives connect on USB Extended (X103); both interfaces relocate the host controller to remote locations and separate heat-sensitive CPUs from the operator panel.
The remote cabling concept is supported by a maximum distance of 50 m for either extension channel, allowing the panel to be mounted on gantries or robot arms without signal loss. Mechanical resilience is verified by a shock tolerance of 5 G, 30 ms and a vibration endurance of 0.5 G in the 58-500 Hz band. This helps the panel maintain touch accuracy on stamping presses or mobile platforms. The unit stores safely between -20 and +65 °C, and it weighs 7.4 kg with the arm adapter or 6.6 kg with the direct connection block, giving two mounting weight options for balance calculations.
